We have made it, Northumbrians! I am pleased to say that this is my 100th post on the Northumbrian Countdown. We’ve seen a lot of projects come and go in the two year and a half years that this site has been operational– the All-Star Senate, Fifty States-Fifty Women, Too Much TV, the Elton John countdown, rankings of Beatles songs.
Strangely, though, on any given day, about half the traffic on this site comes from people who looked up eulogies, and were directed to my Ten Greatest Eulogies of All Time post. It’s a shame, since it is, in some ways, one of the least characteristic of my posts.
As it stands, with married life beginning, time in Singapore commencing, and a ranking of the presidents underway, life in our online monastery is going to get a great deal more exciting. I do hope you’ll stay with me along the way.
Pertaining to the Presidents Ranking, by the way, you might notice a new page on the top of my blog– this is designed for easy access to how far we have come in the ranking– who has been placed where (so far), and which spot is the next to be covered.
